Reds vs. Astros series preview.

The Cincinnati Reds will face the Houston Astros starting on Tuesday, so today, we will preview a 3 game series for these teams.

A Rivalry game this might be known as, teams that had dominated each other over the years.

These teams play in the same division, (the NL Central), both have been contenders the last 10 years. As we all know, the Stros were close to winning it all in 2005.

GAME 1 4/5/11 4:10 PT: Mike Leake will pitch for the Reds and J.A. Happ for the Astros. Both will be making their first starts of the season and both are predicted to have huge breakout seasons. Leake was 8-4 last year, but he would go 1-1 vs. the Astros last season in 3 starts Last season. Last season, Brandon Phillips had a nice season vs. the Astros and so was Joey Votto. My Prediction for this one is that the Reds go to 4-0 and win it 5-3.

GAME 2 4/6/11 4:10 PT: Edison Volquez will pitch for the Reds and Nelson Figueroa will go for the Astros. We all saw the first game of the season on Opening Day when Volquez allowed back to back homers to start the game and ended up going 6 innings giving up all the 6 runs the Brewers scored that day. Figueroa will make his first start of the season. My Prediction: Reds 4-0 start to the season will end. I say the Astros will scored a bunch of runs off Volquez, the Reds lose 9-6.

GAME 3 4/7/11 9:35 PT: Young Sam LeCure will pitch for the Reds on this day, and he had looked brilliant and I am starting to like this kid. Him, and Travis Wood will be aces someday, I love the way he pitches and he is on his way as he will face his first full season this 2011 season. Brett Myers will pitch for the Astros and he was good last year, he would be all the good teams he had to face and I think Myers is the real deal. He is looking good on the mound. This will be Myers 2nd start this season after he got the no desicion on Opening Day for Houston. My Prediction: Reds win the series, 3-1. Good Pitching match-up here.
