The Oregon State Beavers picked up their 21st win on Tuesday. Beating Portland, 11-1. Here's what happened.......
James Nygren was on the mound for OSU today, he went 7.2 Innings, gave up 5 hits and just 1 run and getting a win.
The Beavers had 0 hits in the first inning, but that had 4 runs. How did that happen? I will show you. Parker Berberet was walked to score Michael Miller, then Jared Norris had a Sac fly to score Ryan Barnes (pictured left). Then, 2 runs scored on a error and Carter Bell reached base, and Berberet and Danny Hayes came into score.
The Beavers got some hits in the 2nd, scoring 3 runs, all from a Parker Berberet 3-run jack, scoring Hayes and Miller.
In the 6th, the Beavers got another 3 runs, starting with a 2 run double by Danny Hayes to score Barnes and Ryan Dunn. Jared Norris capped off the 3 run inning with a RBI Single to score Hayes.
Portland got a run in the 7th, but that didn't affect the Beavers as they already had a 10-0 lead but now it was cut to 9.
Ryan Barnes added on another run in the 9th with a RBI Groundout to score Kavin Keyes.
That does it for today. The Beavers win and go to 21-7 and are on a roll.
