Reds Bounce Back From Upset, Defeat Pirates 11-2.

The Cincinnati Reds were looking to bounce back from a tough loss yesterday, and the Reds bats were not cold today. They were hot, getting a 11-2 win, here's what happened....

Mike Leake pitched for the Reds today, getting the win to go to 2-0. He went 6 innings, gave up 4 hits, and struck out 6.

Jonny Gomes kicked off the game in the 2nd with a solo jack to put the Reds up 1-0, in the next inning, Joey Votto had a RBI single to score Drew Stubbs. 2-0 Reds.

The Pirates got 2 runs in the 4th, but it was all Reds after that. Starting with a Juan Fransisco RBI Single in the 5th to score Miguel Cairo. Next batter was Ramon Hernandez, and you won't beilive what happens next.

Hernandez drilled a Grand Slam into DEEP left center field, to put the Reds up 7-2. In the same inning, Drew Stubbs had a 2 run home run, and the Reds led 9-2.

The Reds scored 2 more runs, Joey Votto would triple with no one on, then Jonny Gomes hit a 3 run home run making it 11-2.

The Reds are now 9-5, and will play at 10:10 AM PT tomorrow.
