The Cincinnati Reds were looking to sweep the Astros today going into a tough 3 game series with Arizona. Well, they didn't, losing 3-2 today. Here's what happened......
The Astros score early in the first off Young pitcher, Sam LeCure, who didn't hurt us, he pitched pretty much a solid game with just 5 innings pitched, gave up 3 hits and struck out 6.
The Reds tied the game at 1 when Edgar Renteria double to center to score Jonny Gomes.
The Astros retaked the lead in the 4th on a RBI Groundout, but the Reds veteran 3rd baseman, Scott Rolen, captilized and drilled a solo shot into left field and the game was now a Nail-bitter, 2-2.
But, the Astros got a run in the 9th, with a double by Matt Downs to score Brett Wallace.
The Reds will suffer this one and lose their first game of the year, now 5-1. The Reds will start a new series tomorrow vs. The Arizona Diamondbacks. Game time is set for 6:40 PT. Travis Wood (1-0, 1.29 ERA) vs. Ian Kennedy (0-0, 4.50 ERA). Here's some highlights....
