The Cincinnati Reds were looking to break out of a slight slump vs. the Padres. They did, 3-2. Here's what happened.....
Edison Volquez was on the hill for the Reds, who got off to a slow start in the 1st, giving up 2 runs on no hits, but he would get better.
The Reds slimed the Padres lead when Jonny Gomes went yard, making it 2-1.
Then later, Chris Heisey drilled a 2-run shot into left and the Reds lead 3-2 and never looked back.
Edison Volquez got the win to go to 2-0, and Mat Latos was handed the loss. These 2 teams will face off tonight, at 7:05 PT. Sam LeCure vs. Clayton Richard.
