The Portland Trail Blazers did not play well on Wednesday, but tonight, they had to play well to keep a Playoff spot. They did, beating the Thunder, 98-91. Here's what happened.....
The Blazers needed a win tonight to keep a playoff spot and they played very well, but not in the 1st quarter.
The Blazers trailed, 30-20 after 1 quarter but stepped up in the 2nd quarter.
The Blazers got it to 47-45 with 5:48 left to play in the quarter, but then Kevin Durant drilled 1 3 pointer making it back to a 5 point lead.
The Blazers were down 59-53 at the Half but they started to play like Champions in the 2nd half.
The Trail Blazers were down 65-57, but then the Blazers went on a 15-0 run starting with an Andre Miller lay-up and then ended LaMarcus Aldridge jumper. Aldridge had 30 at the end of the 3rd. The Trail Blazers took a 8 point lead into the 4th outscoring the Thunder, 25-11 in that quarter.
The Closest the Thunder were was 86-81, but then Andre Miller hit a clutch lay-up with about 4 minutes to play in the game.
The Blazers went on to win, 98-91. LaMarcus Aldridge had 32 points, Gerald Wallace had 13, Andre Miller also finished with 13 and Nicolas Batum kept the Blazers in the game in the 1st quarter with 19 points finished.
The Blazers will go to 44-32 and now back to 6th place in the West, and will play Dallas on Sunday.
