Reds defeat Royals, 5-2.

By HD.
After what will probably the worst Spring Training loss of the season, the Cincinnati Reds were just dominated by the Brew Crew, 15-2, the Reds were looking to bounce back vs. the Royals. They did, 5-2, here's what happened.....

Travis Wood, the same guy that was close to a Perfect game and No-hitter last year, was on the hill for Cincy, pretty solid, 3 innings, 5 hits, walked 2, and struck out 2.

In the 3rd, Billy Butler for KC hit a 2-run Jack, so Royals have the earlier 2 run lead.

Drew Stubbs would go yard in the 4th though, putting the Reds up 3-2 quicker than a blink of an eye. In the 8th, Fred Lewis would have an RBI groundout, scoring Miguel Cairo, and the Reds have a 4-2 lead.

The Reds would score last in the 9th with a Felix Perez had an RBI single.

With this win, the Reds go to 7-4, while Kansas City falls to 7-4. Next, the Reds will travel to Peoria, Arizona, to take on the San Diego Padres.
