By HD. The Beavers were looking to take down UC Santa Barbara in the first game of a three game series. They did, 6-3. And, see why Sam Gaviglio's perfecto season has changed, and not changed.
Sam Gaviglio was on the hill for the Beavers, going 8 innings, but his 41.2 innings of o runs given up has sadly ended.
The Beavers scored four runs against UCSB’s ace, Jesse Meaux, knocking him out in the fifth inning and the feel-good vibe about ending Gaviglio’s streak ended there.
But OSU (17-5) scored once in the fourth and then three times in the fifth, chasing Meaux. It was the senior’s shortest start since May 2, 2010 vs. UC Riverside. Meaux allowed four runs in six hits, walking three and striking out one in 4.2 innings.
The Beavers get a big win! woo hoo!
Oregon State scored a run in the sixth and seventh innings to take a 6-2 lead.
