So, recent talk lately has put Portland Trail Blazers PF, LaMarcus Aldridge in MVP Talk.
No doubt Aldridge has led the Blazers this season, getting a career high vs. the Bulls, who are the best team in the East, and has led Portland without their All-Star guard Brandon Roy.
The Blazers picked up Wesley Matthews who has played outstanding lately keeping the Blazers in some close games who has also helped Aldridge and the Blazers get where they are now.
Aldridge has 22.3 PPG, putting him in 12th in the NBA in scoring, and 6th in the West in scoring. The Blazers are also 18-6 when LaMarcus scores 25 points or more.
Even All-Star Mavericks PF Dirk Nowitzki said, "He's having a tremendous year, he's tough because he's got length, he's got the in-between shot, he has really worked on his post moves it looks like I am a fan of L-Train coming through."
But, they're other guys that are looking to be MVP's this season too. Such as Bulls PG Derrick Rose, and 2 of the Miami Heat's Big three, LeBron James and Dwyane Wade.
Here are the OFFICAL OMOC Sports Canidates.
1. Derrick Rose. Chicago Bulls
2. Kevin Durant. Oklahoma City Thunder
3. LeBron James. Miami Heat
4. Kobe Bryant. Los Angeles Lakers
5. Amare Stoudamire. New York Knicks
6. Dwyane Wade. Miami Heat
7. LaMarcus Aldridge. Portland Trail Blazers
8. Dirk Nowitzki. Dallas Mavericks
9. Chris Paul. New Orleans Hornets
10. Kevin Garnett. Boston Celtics.
So, if LaMarcus Aldridge can keep this up, he can easily finish in the top 5 of MVP's or even top 3.
