CORVALLIS, Ore. -- Reggie Moore had 14 points and DeAngelo Casto added 11 points and 10 rebounds to lead Washington State to a 61-55 win against Oregon State Saturday night.
The Cougars (16-7, 6-5 Pac-10) overcame an off-night from leading scorer Klay Thompson, who had six points on 2-of-7 shooting and fouled out with 1:57 left.Devon Collier had a career-high 16 points and 10 rebounds for Oregon State (9-13, 4-7), which led only once, at 11-10.The Beavers cut a 10-point second-half deficit to two, but Washington State steadily built its edge back to 10, going ahead 41-31 on Casto's three-point play with 12:49 left.Collier's lay-in got Oregon State within 45-41 before Moore and Marcus Caspers each had three-point plays to increase the Cougars' margin again.Oregon State got within 57-55 with 20 seconds left on Roberto Nelson's basket, but Faisal Adian made four free throws to close the scoring.
