3 Raiders Named Pro Bowlers.

By Hunter Hendrickson

The Oakland Raiders named 3 pro bowlers from this year including 2 from the defense.

Nnadmi Asomugha has been named a Pro Bowler for the 3rd time in his NFL Career along with DE Richard Seymour, who Punched Ben Roethilsberger right in the face this year, and last, Punter Shane Lechler who leads the AFC in Punting this year.

Lechler leads the AFC in punting (47.0 yards per attempt) and net punting (40.6) and is second in the NFL to NFC selection Mat McBriar of Dallas in both categories. He noted to Raiders.com that his numbers are down a bit from last year's career highs in both categories (51.1 and 43.9)."It wasn't one of my better years, but it was still nice to be atop the AFC," Lechler told Raiders.com.

It was Seymour's first selection for the Raiders after being named five times with the New England Patriots. In 13 games, Seymour has 48 tackles, 5.5 sacks and was dominant during a three-game win streak.

Raiders Lose to Colts, Elimanated from the Playoffs.

Peyton Manning made sure the Idianapolis Colts came out ahead in a game it turned out they didn't need to win to stay in control of the AFC South race.Manning threw three touchdown passes and iced the game with a 27-yard keeper to help the Indianapolis Colts beat the Oakland Raiders 31-26 Sunday in a game that turned out to have little playoff meaning. The Colts (9-6) allowed Jacoby Ford to return the opening kick for a touchdown, overcame a pair of interceptions by Manning in the second half and survived four field goals from Sebastian Janikowski, including two from more than 50 yards, to move within a win of clinching the AFC South title for their ninth straight playoff berth.-ESPN.com Raiders suck and so does their defense see ya next year!Go Raiders-Hunter Hendrickson

Blazers week Full of wins and troubles

By Hunter Hendrickson

This week for the Portland Trail Blazers was full of Dissapointments and Suprises heres what happened...

Lets start on last Saturday, when The Blazers were at home facing the Golden State Warriors, They barley won with a 96-95 win. Andre Miller had had 17 points and the Blazers just Barley lost the game when Monta Ellis, missed a Game winner with 0.8 Seconds left in the game.

In the next game, the Blazers where facing teh Milwaukee Bucks. Bucks had No Brandon Jennings and boy, they needed Him bad as the Blazers murdered the Bucks, 106-80! A 26 point win! Aldridge had a double-Double with 29 Points and 19 rebounds.

In the last game, looking for a 4 game win streak without Brandon Roy, the Trail Blazers lost to the Golden State warriors 109-102 Bad loss Monta Ellis had a Huge game with 36 points. Wesley Matthews had 23 points.

A Now a Sudden Rumor has appeared in the NBA, Carmelo Anthony does want out of Denver. And the Blazers have entered the Conversation for the Denver SF.

What I want for Christmas From OMOC Sports teams.

By Hunter Hendrickson

This is what I want Santa to bring me for Chirstmas from Chirstmas.

Reds: Jay Bruce to be the Leadoff man! cmon he had over 10 homers batting Leadoff next season! And Even a New Pitcher because Arroyo,Volquez, wood bailey and Cueto would get it down.

Raiders: A New Defensive Coach. Our D is can be good but I want a new one so we dont give up much Points.

Bengals: New Coach, Lewis sucks, New QB New WR and More and even a New Defense. And get Benson out of there that Crimnal.

Blazers: Trade Roy for somebody like Monta Ellis somebody fast and Healthy. Because Roy cannot stay healthy this Team will suck. And if A losing Streak starts, Fire Nate Mcmillan.

Beavers Football team: For James Rodgers for sure to come back next year. We need him. without him, we may not win a game next season. And a New QB. Katz Sucks! Fire Our Defensive Coach and Mike Riley He sucks! Get New Defensive Players!

Eastern Oregon: I dunno maybe a New Defense. New QB!

Beaver Basketball: DEFENSEIVE PLAYERS PLEASE I HAVE NEVER SEEN BAD D IN MY LIFE! yes and Get rid out that Coach: Craig Robinson. Yeah I said it: CRAIG ROBINSON!

Beaver Baseball: New Hitting! There were Times last year where our Pitcher would strike out like 10 Then the hitting would only have 5 hits and 1 Run or 0 runs scored.

Thats what I want for Chirstmas from OMOC sports teams!

Beavers Defeat UIC in final non-Confrence game, 74-54.

By Hunter Hendrickson

Roberto Nelson, The Oregon State Forward had a Career day today vs. UIC which beaver Fans were looking very forward to. He and Jared Cunningham ripped apart the UIC Flames 74-54, Heres what happened.....

The Beavers opened with the lead and kept it all the way to the end starting with a 27-9 run that Nelson had a couple points in and so did Cunningham.

The Beavers took a 39-19 lead at the half, One of the most biggest leads ever at the half in Beaver history 3 men all had 10 points at the half, Cunningham, Nelson, and Starks.

The Beavers opened up in the 2nd half with a 48-26 lead tremondous Ball playing by these boys.

The Beavers would then take a 55-37 lead and thats when Beaver nation could breathe and say, "Yes! We finally won."

And yes the Beavers won 74-54 in their last Non-Confrence game Nelson finished with 14 points, Cunningham had 22 and Starks had 12.

Leadoff man Likely between Phillips and Stubbs.

By Hunter Hendrickson

Drew Stubbs and Brandon Phillips Great Teamates for the Cincinnati Reds are now in a race to see who will be the leadoff man for the Reds in 2011.

Reds hitters in the leadoff spot were awesome last year, with a .244 Average, .306 OPS, and last and 26 steals last season. But Phillips and Stubbs both batted better than all the leadoff hitters of last year.

The Reds had Jay Bruce batting leadoff for a while when Stubbs was hurt and Phillips was batting 5th. Bruce hit as many as 10 homers last season while batting leadoff.

Phillips batted .275 last season with a Career best .332 OPS and only stole 16 bases.
Stubbs batted .255 last season and would be the best batter here to bat leadoff because of speed. Phillips has speed But if you compared Him to Drew, Phillips is slow.

Another option for leadoff is Chris Heisey who was a rookie last year and wasent that bad. But Gurranteed who ever bats leadoff will shine bright.

The Reds will have a decision to make between Phillips and stubbs and I beilve it will be Stubbs but you never know.

Reds The Favorite, but NL central Wide open.

By Hunter Hendrickson

In recent years, The NL central has been wide open. And it looks like it will stay the same in 2011. With the Cubs and the Brewers making some additions to their teams. Heres what might happen....

In 2008 Reds had a bad season And so did every team in the NL central exepct for the Cubs who won the division, The Year after in 2009, The Cardinals won the division and then in 2011, The Cincinnati Reds had a 91-71 record and won the NL central with a Jay Bruce walk-off homer. Heres the predictions for this year...

The Cubs made a Free agent move getting Tampa Bay Catcher-1st baseman Carlos Pena who only had a 196. Average last year as the Rays lost in the Divisional series. The Milwaukee Brewers made a Move Trading 4 players for the 2009 AL Cy young winner, Zack Grenike. Who had a Horrible season last year with the royals.

However, The Cards, Astros, and the Pirates did not make pretty much any moves. Looks like another bad season for Wiz Khalifa's Pirates. The Cards did let go of Brendan Ryan.

The Reds will have a Young SS starting next year, Paul Janish, and no Team in the NL central Possibly NL, does not have more power than us. Our Power: Votto, Bruce, Stubbs, Gomes and even a Pitcher named Arloidis Chapman. Who threw over 105 MPH last year in his Debut.

It looks like a Good Season for the Reds who are the Favorites, but The NL is Wide open. Heres the OMOC Sports Predictions NL: Reds, Philles, Giants, Rockies.

Raiders sweep Broncos, Division Record hits 5-0.

By Hunter Hendrickson

The Oakland Raiders were at home on Sunday facing the Denver Broncos in Tim Tebow's first career start Tebow was very good at Florida and was looking for a win today. He didnt get it. Raiders won 39-23, here how it Happened....

Raiders scored first on the very first play of the game, a reverse to the Rookie Jacoby Ford went 71 yards for the score. 7-0 Raiders.

But It was'nt long until Rookie Tim Tebow rushed 40 yards to score Denver the Touchdown. Denver would score again to take a 14-7 lead after a 33-YD pass from Tebow to Royal.

Raiders would then drive then would cap it off with a Micheal Bush 1 YD run Raiders had 150 Rushing Yards in the 1st quarter.

But The Broncos would Re-take the lead with a 46-YD FG from Steven Hauchka. 17-14 Broncos.

But Raiders would tie it with a 49-YD FG from Sebastian Janikowski. And the score would be 17-17 at the half and the Broncos have have made it an exicting game with all the turnovers.

in the 2nd half, the Raiders took back the lead 20-17 with a Janikowski 35-YD FG. Broncos came back to tie it with a Fg from their kicker. So 20-20.

But Janikowski hit another FG and this time it was a 23-20 Raiders lead. Keep on Reading, It starts to get interesting.

In the 4th Quarter, Marcel reece, the Raiders Fullback, caught a dink pass from Jason Campbell that ended up going 73 yards for a Raiders Touchdown. 30-20 and That might have sealed the deal right there.

But Broncos would slow down and have to settle for a FG and make it a 7 point Raiders lead, 30-23.

Raiders would be stopped on their next drive and the Broncos would have to start from their own endzone. Guess what? Raiders get a saftey and its a 32-23 Raiders Lead, and it would not be over.

Raiders scored once more to win 39-23. And hey, Bengals won too. Raiders are now 7-7 and have to win out to make the Playoffs c ya!

Roy Wants Miller out.Week is Alright.

By Hunter Hendrickson

The week was so long for the blazers there was some fights and some physical moments. Plus A star player calling out our star PG. More on that later...

Lets start last Friday when the Blazers where trying to go on a 4 game win streak and beat The Suns. They did defeating them 101-94 with a Clutch game from Brandon Roy. He had 26 points and had some clutch shots to win the game. Camby had a Double-Double with 16 points and 18 rebounds.

After the 4 game win streak, it was snapped last sunday with a 95-78 loss to The Spurs in San Antonio and just a Horrible performance overall. But marcus Camby had 13 Rebounds to get Player of the game.
And after this game, all the fights on this team started. After a Horrible 13 point loss 86-73 to the Memphis Grizzles losing in FedEX for the first time since 2006.

After the Game Brandon Roy, The Teams star Player, said that, "I wasent that slow until you put someone that slow next to me.I've always been kinda slow. Not to be controvirsial at all, But I was slow in my rookie year...." End of comment Roy Apoligezed for his comments 2 days later.

If I was Andre Miller, I would be frusterated with Roy, who pretty much Hogs the ball. Roys Frusteration Remains with only a 4 point night vs.Dallas on wensday. This team is having some problems. And Roy, I mean pretty much My Favorite player has became lazy and In my Opinion needs to Leave Portland. Get somebody like Monta Ellis.

Roy will be out for 3 games with a Week knee. So he will be gone.
We already talked about Dallas game Lamarcus aldridge Had 35 points. Now Tonight we were facing the Minnesota Timberwolves. No Roy and More injuries came later in the game.

Blazers Led 61-54 at the Half and What a Perfromance from Rudy fernandez and Lamarcus Aldridge. In the second half was explosive as I would like to point out a play where LA went up for a Dunk and Just Dunked it Right on Micheal Beasley. Fernandez finished with 26 points with a Career high and Lamarcus had 34 Points and a Double-Double and has now back-to-back 30 Point games.

So thats it for this week thanks for reading My Blazer recap. We are 13-14 and need to show some game.

By Hunter Hendrickson and OregonstateAtletics.com

The Oregon State Baseball team is slated for 24 games vs.NCAA Tournament teams from a Year ago in a 2011 Schedule That was announced Wendsday By head Coach, Pat Casey.

The 24 games are a Large part of the Schedule, witch Includes 54 games starting with Gonzaga Feb.19.

I'm very excited about this schedule," Casey said. "The Pac-10 was the best conference in baseball last season, and I have no reason to think that will be any different this season. We feel that, coupled with a great non-conference slate, gives us a great schedule this season."

The Beavers will get their longest trip away from Goss Stadium in 2011 immediately, going on the road for eight straight games to start the season. They will open a four-game set in Fresno, Calif., against Gonzaga on Feb. 19. They'll play both Fresno State and Gonzaga twice over three days to open the season.

Just days after leaving Fresno, the Beavers will trek to the state of Texas for three games at the Kleberg Bank College Classic in Corpus Christi where OSU will face Connecticut, Texas A&M-Corpus Christi and Indiana starting on Feb. 25. Before returning home, the Beavers will make a quick jaunt to San Antonio for a game against Texas-San Antonio.

The Beavers will return home to find themselves able to enjoy a nine-game homestand starting March 4 with four games against Hartford. OSU will also face Oregon, in a non-conference contest, once during the homestand before hosting four games March 11-13; two against VMI and two against an opponent to be announced.

Other non-conference series for the Beavers this season include three-game sets at Long Beach State (March 18-20) and at home against UC Santa Barbara (March 25-27).

OSU is set to play at Portland twice this season - April 5 and April 26 - and will host the Pilots on May 10. Rounding out OSU's non-conference slate is two games against Oregon - the aforementioned game on March 8 as well one on May 3. Both will be held at Goss as the Ducks host the three conference games this season.

Oregon State opens the month of April and its conference schedule by visiting Arizona for a three-game set. Other conference games away from Corvallis include series at Stanford (April 15-17), UCLA (April 29-May 1) and Washington (May 13-15). OSU will conclude its 2011 regular season slate May 27-29 at Oregon.

The Beavers will host four Pacific-10 Conference series in 2011, the last year before the league becomes the Pacific-12 Conference. OSU takes on Arizona State April 8-10, Washington State from April 21-23, California from May 6-8 and concludes its home slate May 20-22 at home against USC.

The 54-game slate is two shy of the NCAA max of 56 games.

OMOC SPORTS FINAL 4 HEISMAN CANIDATES.

By Hunter Hendrickson

This Is My Opinion on the Final 4 Heisman Hopeful Enjoy.

The Real Final 4 Heisman Canidates are, Cam Newton (QB Auburn), Lamicheal James (RB Oregon), Andrew Luck (QB Stanford), And Kellen Moore (QB Boise St.). Three of those Guys, (James,Moore and Luck) have beat the Oregon State Beavers this year. Heres mine....

4.Andrew Luck. Good Player can run and throw very well but the Pac-10 was very weak this year for Luck or James to win the Heisman. Luck, who can throw at least 80 yards and can throw people down is a Elite QB who wont be Crap in the NFL. If you are a Mobile QB exepct Mike Vick you will suck. Just sayin.

3.Lamicheal James. I don't really think this Guy is a NFL type Runningback Because I think Chip Kelley is Brain-washington this kids. No one in the NFL runs that Offense so I dont think he will be that great.

2.Kellen Moore. Great Player But a lot of people dont agree with me Because he is in a small Confrence beating teams by 50 every game(Exepct for Nevada!). Hey He Threw over 500 Yards vs.Hawaii this year, You don't even see NFL QBs doing that. This guy would be My pick for The Heisman but their is one more man.

1.Cam Newton. A lot of People dont Like Cam Newton because what his Father did but Its not Cams fault its his dads. Plus Newton plays in the SEC witch has 9 other teams going to a Bowl. That is a Tough confrence toplay in Including Arkansas who is Playin the Ohio State Buckeyes in a BCS Bowl.

That is My Predictons of the Heisman. And watch the BCS Title game on Janurary 10,2011 Auburn vs. Oregon. Go tigers.

A dissapointing Last 2 weeks for the Trail Blazers.

By Hunter Hendrickson

Portland ended our Last Blog post with a Bad loss at home 97-78 to the New Orleans Hornets and it got worse.

The Next game Portland Lost 98-96 to the NETS!!!OMG!WE SUCK! But the Nets have gotten better. Wesley Matthews had 25 Points but Blazers lose.

Blazers then lost again to the 76ers 88-79. Blazers had a Lead and blew it and we suck and we go under .500 for the first team since like the begining of last year.

The Next game we lost AGAIN! To the Boston Celtics but things were very close and a aggrisive game. Portland down by 17 with under 4 Mintues remaining and come back and was down by only 1!!!!! But Ray-Ray hit a 3 and we lose and we suck.

Blazers lost their six staright game with Przbillas return. A 83-79 loss. 8-5 and now 8-11?What the heck is going on.

But the Streak stopped with a 100-91 win over the Los Angeles Clippers. A Phyiscal Part in this Game Andre Miller Knocked Blake Griffin down to the ground and Miller Recived a 1 game Suspension and sat for the Next game Vs. The Suns.

Back at the Rose Garden vs. The suns we were all nervous. We had no Andre Miller. But Patty Mills stepped up and started to show some game son!Blazers win with some Clutch Free throws From Lamarcus Aldridge.

And then we Just killed The Orlando magic 97-83 but Dwight Howard had 39 points.

Tongiht we play the Suns again!Go Blazers!

Jay Bruce agrees to 6-year deal with the Reds.

By Hunter Hendrickson

The Cincinnati Reds have reached an agreement on a six-year, gurranted $51 Millon contract with outfielder Jay Bruce.

The deal includes a club option for a Seventh year that could bring the overall value of the contract to $63 Millon. Bruce has a partial no-trade clause and the oppertuntiy to earn additional money thourgh award bonuses.

Bruce's deal is similar to the six-year, $51.25 Millon contract that outfielder Justin Upton signed with the Arizona D-backs in March.

Bruce, 23, is regarded as one of Baseballs budding young stars. He hit .281 with 25 Homers and 70 RBIs last season to help lead the Reds NL Central Divison Title. He had a .575 slugging Percentage and a .951 OPS after the All-star Break.

Bruce would have been elidgebel for salary artbitration in Feburary as a Super two catagory service time player

Reds sign Arroyo through 2013.

CINCINNATI -- The Reds' longest tenured player -- and one of their most popular -- opened Redsfest on Friday with significant news.

Starting pitcher Bronson Arroyo signed a new three-year, $35 million contract extension that will run through the 2013 season. The club made the signing official during their fan event, which is taking place Friday and Saturday at the Duke Energy Convention Center.

There was a loud roar when fans were informed of the news as Arroyo was introduced with the rest of the Reds.

"I just wanted the opportunity to stay on this ballclub for the next few years," Arroyo said before he took the stage. "We've been running uphill for the last four years and finally got to the top of the mountain. We saw the finish line at least and made the playoffs. We'll hopefully have more good seasons and make a run at it."

Last month, the Reds exercised Arroyo's $11.5 million option, but the whole deal was redone to create a new contract. Some of the money has been deferred.

Arroyo, 33, took his physical on Friday morning before the deal was sealed.

"We've been working on it for a long time," Reds general manager Walt Jocketty said. "[Assistant GM] Bob Miller put a lot of time and effort into it. There were a few things we had to work out. We've been working on it really since the end of the season. He's really happy and so are we. You could see the response from the fans. The fans love him."

Arroyo, along with former Reds pitcher Aaron Harang, had also deferred some money in the final guaranteed year of their contracts in 2010 to make room for signing other players.

This past season, while earning $11 million, Arroyo established a career high in wins, going 17-10 with a 3.88 ERA in 33 starts as the Reds won their first NL Central title since 1995. In five seasons with Cincinnati, he is 70-60 with a 3.97 ERA over 169 starts.

Over each of the last three seasons, Arroyo has reached at least 15 wins, and he has pitched at least 200 innings in each of the last six seasons.

One thing Arroyo did not get into his contract was no-trade protection. He can become a "10-5" player in April 2012 with 10 years of Major League service time with the last five with the same club. During a Friday meeting with president/CEO Bob Castellini, he was given enough assurance he wouldn't be leaving.

It required a trust by Arroyo, who took a hometown discount to sign a multiyear deal with the Red Sox to avoid arbitration after the 2005 season. A few months later during Spring Training, he was dealt to the Reds in exchange for outfielder Wily Mo Pena.

"I talked to Bob and they don't have any plans of moving me at all," Arroyo said. "I feel confident I will be around next season."

Arroyo could have just played out the 2011 season and then tried to earn more money on the open market as a free agent. But his comfort in Cincinnati superseded much of his decision making.

"I enjoy everything about the place," Arroyo said. "I enjoy the places I go, the restaurants I eat at and my teammates, the ballpark and the fans. I'd sign a five-year extension if they let me, but I'm getting old so they're only giving me three. I'm kind of a routine freak. Knowing the people, the writers and everybody else, I don't like change. I want to stick around.

"I had one year left on my deal, so if I was a total free agent, maybe I'd look somewhere else. I have another year to pitch. This isn't easy. I have 3,000 innings on my arm in my Minor League and big league career. You take that into consideration. Nothing in life is guaranteed. The security and money is something that is enjoyable to have. I don't need to break the bank here because they don't have much of a bank to break."

The 114th Civil war preview.

By Hunter Hendrickson

the Team I hate most, the team that has made me sick through the years with its dirty players(Masoli,James) and its Money and its fans have made me SICK! My team, the oregon state Beavers play the Oregon ducks this saturday.Heres the matchup....

the #2 oregon ducks who are 11-0 this season is the first time ever To have the Chance to go to the BCS National Championship.

Now the Oregon State Beavers however are not ranked and are at Reser Stadium to face these Ducks. Last time the Beavers lost to the Duck in Reser Badly, 65-38. If the Beavers won that game they woukd have went to the Rose Bowl. Last Year, at Autzen we lost 33-37.

The Beavers I say will be Ready. They are Duck fans that are making posters saying the Beavers are losers and I say go Rooy for your Ducks and leave Beaver fans alone.

I go to school with a lot of Duck fans and it aint fun. Heres a Shoutout to all those Duck fans who have Harrased and Picked on me.F YOU YOU STUPID MORONS!

The Best Civil war game is Defentley in 1998 when Ken Simonton had that long run to win the game 44-41.

Anthor was when James Rodgers had that long run in 2OT at Autzen in 2007 to win the game 38-31. We stopped Jonathon Stewart Short of a 1st down and won the game.

Anthor is named when the Beavers won 23-13 over Joey Harringtons Ducks.

The Matchup this Saturday will include 2 Speedy Runningbacks: Jacquizz Rodgers and Lamicheal James. And a Matchup of 2 weak QBs: Darren Thomas and Ryan Katz.

The Duck maybe #2 but that doesnt stop these Beavers. Gameday is in Corvallis for this game. Will Lee pick the Duck head?Or the Beaver head?
